Car insurance premiums can make a huge dent in your bank balance, so don’t assume that your current insurer is offering you the best deal when your policy renewal comes due. It obviously makes sense to shop around for competitive quotes, but to increase your savings, you should also make sure that you get a cash rebate on your purchase (this will not happen if you renew through comparison sites). An easy way to do this is to get all your quotes via your own Ei42 Cashback Shop – the shops are free and quick to open and contain over 1300 top UK stores and companies.

When my motor insurance came up for renewal today, I used my Ei42 Shop to get quotes from a selection of car insurance companies. The best deal for me (a middle-aged female with an old low-mileage Yaris) turned out to be with the Co-operative Insurance (formerly CIS General Insurance). The site was easy to use, quick to load, I added more options and still saved over £23 by not renewing with my existing insurer, and I earned £27.90 cashback – giving a total saving of £51.74.
Obviously, the cost of motor insurance varies widely depending on your age, gender, car type and age, etc , but I’d recommend getting a quote from the Co-Operative Insurance, whatever your profile. I’d also recommend opening your own Ei42 Cashback Shop for all your online shopping needs!

Here’s a great, real-life example of how you can maximize your savings on your car insurance renewal by using a price comparison site such as Confused.com to find the best deal then earning a cashback by buying the policy from your own Ei42 shop.
This testimonial comes from Phil in my Ei42 team:
”My car insurance is coming up for renewal on the 31st May and before I blindly accepted the renewal quote I went to Confused.com .
After all…the ads say it’s a great comparison site…and that function would save me time!
I received my quotes…and then visited my Ei42 shop to see if the AA was listed.
Confused.com had shown me that the AA was offering the best deal…and I could pay monthly. J
The AA was listed in the shop so I clicked on the link and went straight to their site and obtained a quote.
I accepted the figure of about £18 per month and completed the transaction.
About 30 minutes later I checked in my Ei42 back office and there it was…a confirmed transaction.
My personal rebate?…£34.65!!…that almost pays for the first two monthly payments!!
Getting the quotes on confused.com and then the AA site took all of 20 minutes!
Is your car insurance coming up for renewal soon?…
Best wishes
Phil”

Why not check out AA car insurance on Ei42 shops?
PLEASE NOTE: If you use this technique, DO NOT use any previous quotes or reference numbers obtained on other sites, ALWAYS be sure to get a new quote from you Ei42 Shop
